I had a very enjoyable weekend with the congregation at the city of Belo Jardim, about 90 miles west of Recife. The young adults of the congregation planned a campaign over the weekend to invite their neighbors to a special meeting on Saturday night. We walked all over the city handing out invites. We also got to visit two different radio stations and talk about the church’s mission. The day ended with a devotional at one of the city’s parks.

On Saturday night we had the “Day of Friendship” event. I was given the opportunity to talk about the importance of Christian influences and friendships in our life, especially seeking a deeper relationship with Christ. Many other church members from nearby cities came to give their support to this effort. To experience the dedication of the brothers and sisters in this small city was very heartwarming.
