Day of the Family of God
Every year we hold a special worship assembly where congregations from across greater Recife (and even beyond) come together under one roof. Normally we have it in the vacation months of July or August, but due to problems with the venue, we almost didn’t have one this year. However, God heard our prayers and everything came together at the last minute for a wonderful banquet of fellowship.
There were 740 in attendance this year. There were representatives from a dozen different congregations helping lead different aspects of the assembly. Joshua was the keynote speaker on the topic of “Being disciples recognized by our love” from John 13.
Everything went smoothly. Ricardo Santos had the Lar Mana kids come to the event and presented them to the group. It was very edifying. Before the assembly, he organized a couple of the police horses to give the kids rides around the adjacent soccer field.
It was a great blessing to have brethren from over 20 congregations and many visitors come together to celebrate the life and love we share in Jesus.
