“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:41-42
About two months ago we began a new work with the women of our church. And we are experiencing a great moment of spiritual growth and fellowship. We witness God working as we see these women placing God first in their busy lives.
The ELAS event is a highlight of this ministry. It is an event that is usually held once a year and is organized by a different congregation. And this year we were give the challenge and privilege of hosting this event.
In ELAS 2015, we had around 200 women from several congregations, praying, signing and fellowshipping together. The theme was “Think, Love, Do”. And with amazing speakers we learned what it means to love God with all our heart and mind.
We spent many hours in the planning and sleepless nights in preparation. But it was edifying to have the help of sisters who were discouraged in their walk. They found renewed strength as they committed to serving others. We can only be so thankful for the blessing that this event was in our lives.
