The apostles called him Barnabas, a name that means “one who encourages others.”
One of the best-known TV and radio speakers in our brotherhood in Brazil is named Antenor Gonsalves. God has gifted him with the ability to effectively preach and teach His word. When he is not ministering to the Itu, Sao Paulo congregation, he is encouraging a group somewhere around Brazil.
He graciously accepted our invitation to come here and teach at the Elder Link 2012 last weekend. He also agreed to stay over a few days to teach at the downtown congregation on “The Need for Vision in the Work of the Lord”. I counted about 70 brethren who came to it representing a dozen of the congregations in the metropolitan area.
May God continue to bless this good brother’s ministry as he blesses others with God’s message of hope.
