Last week marked yet another graduation for our School of the Bible students. We are at the end of our second trimester and will soon begin our third.

Here are some numbers for our School of the Bible ministry:

We offer about six live Bible courses in Portuguese and five in ESL (English as Second Language) every trimester. Fourteen committed men from the downtown congregation support this ministry as teachers, and another eight men and women help with the administrative aspects. The majority of these are volunteers and take time from their busy lives to teach weekly classes. Our youngest teacher-apprentice is 20 years old, and our oldest teacher is 83. An average of 125 students from the community study with us each trimester.
